We’re so excited to have you all at our wedding! If you’re planning to stay a little longer or want to explore the area before or after the big day, here are some cool things to check out nearby:

The area around Fitzleroi Barns is beautiful, with loads of stunning countryside to explore. There are some great walks and outdoor spots nearby if you fancy a peaceful stroll and a bit of fresh air.
If you’re feeling beach walk, West Wittering Beach is just a short drive away. It’s got a lovely sandy beach, a fresh sea breeze, and some great little cafés. Just a heads up for our Aussie guests – the beaches in the UK are … a little different to what you might be used to back home! The water can be a lot colder, and the beaches aren’t as big or as busy... or sandy! But it’s still a great spot to relax and enjoy the crisp air.

If you love food, the area’s packed with cute pubs and restaurants. Whether you’re after a hearty roast or just a good pint, you’re spoilt for choice. A few places we recommend:
-
The White Hart in Pulborough – A proper local pub with amazing roast dinners.
-
The Sussex Ox in Parham – Super cosy, great food, and some tasty ales.
-
The Royal Oak in East Lavant – Ideal for a chilled meal or afternoon tea with friends.

If you fancy a bit of history, there are a few great places nearby:
-
Petworth House and Park: A stunning spot with beautiful gardens and artwork.
-
Arundel Castle: A massive, impressive castle with tours and gorgeous views. Shane absolutely fell in love with Arundel when he first moved to England—it’s such a beautiful and historic town. The castle is breath-taking, and the town itself has so much charm.
-
The Weald & Downland Living Museum: A fun, interactive museum to learn a bit about local history.

Want to do some shopping? Pulborough and Arundel are both lovely spots to find unique boutiques, antique shops, and quirky cafés. Arundel’s especially charming, with its historic streets and beautiful scenery.

If you’re in the area, definitely make time to pop by Fred’s Fish and Chips in Littlehampton. Hettie's parents, Chris and Sophie, have been running the shop for the past 25 years, and it’s where Hettie works, too! They’ve been serving up the best fish and chips for years, and the fish is always fresh, with perfectly crispy chips. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!

If you're sticking around longer, London’s only about 1.5 hours away by train from Pulborough, so it’s an easy day trip. Whether you want to see the sights, shop till you drop, or catch a show, there's so much to do and see in the capital.

If you're more of an adventurer, The South Downs National Park has plenty to offer. You can go hiking, cycling, or simply enjoy the amazing views. It’s a great way to get out in nature and get your blood pumping.

We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do! If you need any tips or suggestions while you're here, just give us a shout. Can’t wait to celebrate with you! ♡
